Midland LXT112-VP
This entry level two way radio from Midland supports both FRS and GMRS operation and has a range of up to 16 miles under optimal conditions. It has an automatic channel scanner, eVOX for hands-free communication, the auto squelch feature for removing annoying background noise and a small screen displaying the channel and battery charge level. It is water resistant and the keypad can be locked. It can work with 3 AAA batteries or rechargeable batteries and the charger is connected through the headset jack. The box includes a pair of radios, belt clips, rechargeable batteries and the charger.

This model has some more features. In addition to everything the LXT112 offers, it has an increased range of up to 22 miles, HI/LO power settings for conserving battery life and silent operation mode. It also has a roger beep feature and is compatible with drop-in chargers (a simple one is uncluded, and a dual one is optionally available) for more convenient charging. Power can be supplied by either 4 AAA batteries or a rechargeable battery pack. The box includes a pair of radios, belt clips, rechargeable batteries and the simple desktop charger as well as an AC adapter.
