My personal journey into the two way radio world started when I was around 7. My parents bought me one of those almost-plastic walkie talkies with just one button and a range of less than 50 meters. But I loved it, it was real fun playing secret agents with it, even though the received signal was quite often unintelligible. The crudeness of the technology gave my games an air of danger, since I interpeted the bad reception as a result of the extremely hostile environment in which I was to carry out my mission. Oh well, kids.
While searching for information on two way radios, the only non-vendor and non-manufacturer websites I encountered were ad-infested, zero-content and, to be frank, ugly pages. So, I decided to create this website hoping that it will be of benefit to anyone who looks for information.
